...On Quantum Physics...
...On the Fog of War...
Robert S. McNamara was the Secretary of Defense during Kennedy's presidency, and, after his asassination, during Johnson's. Now, many years after being retired, he is the narrator of the film "The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara" where he gives us an account of his life and the events he was part of, from World War II to Vietnam. This film is touching and very human, and I strongly encourage you to watch it, despite it's length (click the link above). You will see that it is not persuasive or political, despite it's subject roots in War and the lessons thereof, but instead a very emotional and telling memoir. I hope you find the time to view it.
...On the Moon Landing...
Was the moon landing faked? Many of the findings in this video are readily refuted all over the internet; you need simply google a few words to find someone bashing all conspiracy theorys. The Radiation Belt argument, which I find very interesting, is (very rhetorically) argued as being non-lethal, and shadow inconsistancies are blamed on un-even lunar surfaces. Many arguments are very insufficient, however, and require much thought and research before coming to a conclusion, like a waving flag: this is "debunked" by the idea that the flag is on two poles, one vertical and one horizontal, and it being moved makes it appear to wave (inertia). If you've seen this video, you'll also agree that this argument is bullshit. Niel Armstong's cryptic speech to the next generation's astronauts is something I find very interesting, especially when put aside the fact that he has never given a videotaped interview, ever.
There are, however, questions that remain to be asked. I thought, why don't we just look up there with a telescope and see if we can find the flag and the three lunar vehicles that have been left on the moon's surface? Well, that's impossible right now. It would cost as much money to assemble a telescope that strong and resolute as it would to send someone to the moon and take a picture, supposedly. What about Hubble? Well, it's taken many pictures of the moon, but even it doesn't have the power we would need to see these tiny objects on it's surface.
What about the moon rocks, or the lunar mirror planted there by an apollo mission (still used today to help understand the distance between the earth and the moon with accuracy up to a millimeter)? The authenticity of moon samples brought back are all but refutable - they are definatly of lunar origin. Was there another way to get them in an unmanned venture, and leave stuff behind?
In the end, you'll have to decide for yourself. As in most ventures, I have decided not to decide. Go figure.
Mission Statement...
There is alot of interesting stuff on the internet; if you asked me, I would tell you that I believe the internet will save the world. It is saturated with information of all kinds, often leaving one to ask themself, "Where do I begin?"
The real point to this page is to better organize the wealth of shit that I slap all over my own websites. However, you can come to think of this as a place to find interesting, usually real-world oriented, visual propoganda. From videos to art, pictures to posts, the plan is that this page be a safe haven for everything except the personal dribble that leaks on to our own blogs; everything that everyone might find interesting.
